First level – Scan and Repair Errors

The first level of editing service is a simple scan and repair of grammatical goofs, typographical errors and obvious mistakes in the text, itself.

Second level – Improvement of Presentation

Includes all of the above and makes suggestions if a better way to present or state an idea or section of text could be made.

Third level – Complete Re-write

Includes the above two levels and would go beyond those levels to rewriting of the textual presentation altogether where deemed necessary.

A complete rewrite might include such changes as sequential alterations in the presentation of ideas to make the overall communication flow better or become easier to understand.

Complicated sections of text might be scrapped completely, then simplified or made clearer and more easily able to be assimilated in a rewrite edit.

In a typical rewrite edit, the editor will make a thorough study of the text, itself and may supplement such a study by consulting additional materials. A plan for improving the layout and/or presentation of the material will be drawn and a Rewrite Estimate made before any such rewrite would be done.

The estimate includes the price of such work and would be completed following an initial examination of the submission and before full costs were incurred. Depending upon the text submitted, there may be a fee for this examination and estimation of the work at hand.
